RaceCars wins third straight NeSmith Chevrolet WRS Chassis Manufacturers
Championship
CARTERSVILLE, GA – GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier,
AR has won its third straight NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series Chassis Manufacturers Championship. GRT Race Cars won 78
feature races in 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series competition,
more than twice as many as the second-place chassis manufacturer,
Trak Star Chassis, who had 36 wins.
Mark Clifton of Brewton, AL drove his GRT Race
Car to 13 wins during the 2008 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series season at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton, AL. Clifton finished
third in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region
standings.
Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS had eight wins in
the West Region and had Track Championships at Southern Speedway
in Hattiesburg, MS and A1 Raceway in Slidell, LA driving a GRT
Race Car. Lee also finished fifth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly
Racing Series West Region standings.
Larry Murphy of Meridian, MS was the 2009 NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Track Champion at Whynot Motorsports
Park in Meridian, MS driving a GRT Race Car. Murphy also finished
sixth in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region
standings.
In the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series
East Region, Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL drove a GRT Race
Car to eight of his 13 wins on his way to the NeSmith Chevrolet
Weekly Racing Series Track Championships at Penton Raceway in
Penton, AL and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL.
Stephens was the East Region Championship Runner-Up.
Jason Hiett of Lincoln, AL drove his GRT Race
Car to eight wins in NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East
Region competition, and finished fifth in the East Region standings.

by Boland performance of Cuba, AL in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS
Chassis Manufacturers Challenge were Mastersbilt Race Cars of
Crothersville, IN with 24 wins, Warrior Race Cars of Knoxville,
TN with 17 wins, Rayburn Race Cars of Whiteland, IN with 10 wins,
and TNT Race Cars of Johnson City, TN with four wins. |
